Emery L. Bartimus

Emery L. Bartimus, 77, of Midland, died on Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, November 24, 2008 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland with Rev. Bob Porterfield, officiating.Emery was born August 1, 1931 in Brownstown, Illinois. He married Loretta June Cameron on February 22, 1952 in St. Elmo, Illinois. He was a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, serving in the Korean Conflict. He worked for Enron for 37 years as an oil field supervisor.Survivors include wife, Loretta June Cameron Bartimus of Midland; son and daughter-in-law, J.C. and SanHui Bartimus of Kaohsiung, Taiwan; daughter, Christine Oglesby of Midland; granddaughter, Vanessa Oglesby of Portland, Oregon; granddaughter, Katrina Oglesby of Midland; sister, Wilma Swanson of Waukegan, Illinois; sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Harold Carwell of Oaklawn, Illinois; sister and brother-in-law, Becky and John Winkler of Newman, Illinois; 2 sisters-in-law, Anne Marie Harris and Rosie Enlow; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and a sister.
