Elouise Rushing May left this life on Saturday, June 8th, 2013 in Midland, TX at the age of 87. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Services will be held at Westside Church of Christ on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 3:00 PM. Burial will be Thursday, June 13, 2013, 11:00 AM at Antioch Cemetery in Brown County, Texas. Elouise was born on January 15, 1926 in Comanche, Texas to J.G. Dode Rushing and Bertha Lone Parson. She was baptized during the summer of 1938. She graduated from Comanche High School in 1942 along with her older brother and sister. In December 1955, Elouise moved to Midland. Her two children were born in Midland- Charlotte in 1957 and Greg in 1960. Elouise went to work for Drilco in January 1965 and worked until they closed in January 1990 25 years. Elouise was a long time member of Westside Church of Christ since the summer of 1957. She was a charter member of the Midland Quilters Guild which was founded in the fall of 1979. Elouises greatest joys were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Massey and husband Larry of Midland, TX; son, Greg May of Midland, TX. Grandchildren: Wendy McGehee and husband Kyle of Fort Worth, TX; Dwayne May of College Station, TX; and Heather Rodgers and husband Adam of Spring, TX. Her most recent and treasured joys were her four great-grandchildren: Ella and Beau Rodgers of Spring, TX and Colton and Hunter McGehee of Fort Worth, TX. Elouise is survived by her two sisters, Ima Jean Turner of Breckenridge, TX and Pat Clark of Midland, TX, and brother-in-law, Cullen Bobo of Brownwood, TX, and several beloved nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; her older brother, Doyle; two sisters, Bernice and Pearl; and 3 brother-in-laws, Larry, Ray and Otwell.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Antioch Cemetery Association, c/o Bill Bettis, #11 Bounty Road, Fort Worth, TX 76132.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
