Eloise Grant Stipp

Eloise Grant Stipp began a new adventure on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. At her request, her departure from this world will be marked by a brief graveside service at Resthaven Memorial Park on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 3:00 pm.  Eloise was born November 14, 1928, to Harvey (Casey) Grant and Asenith (Chigger) Burleson Grant in Lawn, Texas.  She was raised in Baird, Texas, graduating from Baird High School and Gail Business College in Abilene, Texas.  She worked as a legal secretary before meeting and marrying Russell Stipp in 1950.  After the birth of four daughters, she returned to work at Otis Elevator Company.  Eloise was active in Midland Downtown Lion’s Club, Gardening Club, Sewing Club, and Midland Genealogy Society.  In her quest for discovering her ancestry, she enjoyed meeting relatives and making new friends throughout the world.  She was a member of Golf Course Road Church of Christ.   She is survived by her daughters Diana Stipp Mathis, Susan Stipp, Elaine Stipp Smith, Vanessa Stipp Leong, as well as seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  She will be remembered by many friends and family, including her dear friend and caretaker, Carla Parker. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory.
