Ella Marjorie Warren Butler went into the arms of Jesus, her Savior, peacefully on May 3, 2015. Marge (Gigi as she was known to many) was born on June 25, 1921, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Hardy Dee and Alberta Warren. At the age of two, her family moved to Eastland, Texas, where she was raised with four brothers and two sisters. What her family has heard her say many times is “We didn’t have much, but we had a lot of fun together!” She married her high school sweetheart, Charlie Cole Butler August 25 1939, and they spent 51 years together before he passed away in 1990. They moved to Midland in 1952 and their favorite times were camping and fishing with family members and they always looked forward to the Warren reunions with 60-70 family members and friends. Three brothers preceded Marge in death, H.D. Warren and his wife, Margie Lou, Bobby Warren and his wife, Louise, and Benny Warren, whose wife Margie Faye, lives in Breckenridge; her older sister, Faye Rainey and her husband, Dick; and one great grandchild, Grace Elizabeth Butler.Family surviving Marge are her daughter, Brenda Yowell, of Midland, Texas, whose husband, Alton, passed away in 2008; her son, Rick Butler of Midland; grandchildren, Al and Ginger Yowell of Midland, Heather Steadman of Fort Worth, Blake and Steve Newman of Midland, and Rick and Tina Butler of Brownwood, Texas. She is also survived by great grandchildren,Kayla Thiery, Haleigh Wyrwich Allen and husband, Andy, Haden Wyrwich, Jordin and Whitney Newman, T.J. and Abigal Butler; and great-great grandchildren, Peryton, Wes and Brooklyn Thiery and 6 month old, Jackson Allen; along with numerous loving nieces and nephews. Marge grew up in First Baptist Church, Eastland, Texas and was a long time active member of Crestview Baptist Church in Midland. While at Crestview, she taught children’s Sunday School. She was one of the first workers in the Kindergarten program when it first developed and was active in various women’s organizations at Crestview. She will be buried in Eastland, Texas, alongside Charlie, her parents and other family members. Her life will be celebrated and remembered with a graveside service on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Eastland Cemetery at 1:00 pm. The family wishes to thank Brenda, Tammie, Sherri and Christina, the loving caregivers of Hospice of Midland who made Marge’s life and that of her family so much easier and peaceful in her last two weeks. What blessings they were to us. God always gives you what you need when you need it. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Midland, P.O.
