Ella Mae TrotterDecember 5, 1917 March 2, 2013Ella Mae McFadden Trotter passed away on March 2, 2013 in Midland, Texas. Mae was born on a family farm on December 5, 1917 in Tecula, Texas. Mae met the love of her life and best friend, John A. Trotter, and they were married on September 21, 1940 in Jacksonville, Texas. Mae and John had two children: Sherrie Dianne and John Paul Trotter. Mae and John A. lived in Crane, Texas during John A.s working years. Mae was very active in the Home Demonstration Club and 4H. As a homemaker, she never knew how many people would stay for supper, so she always had an extra plate of food for visitors. She enjoyed cooking and was an excellent cook. Mae also enjoyed quilting and gardening. After John retired from Exxon, Mae and John moved to Jacksonville where she lived until Johns death in 1982. In 1984, Mae moved to Odessa, Texas to be close to family. She later moved to Midland. Mae was a lifelong member of and active in the Church of Christ.Mae was preceded in death by her husband, John A.; sister Gladys McFadden McMeans; brothers George McFadden; Alton McFadden and J.Y. McFadden. Mae is survived by Sherrie Dyer and husband Morgan; John P. Trotter and wife Deborah; granddaughter Toni Winkler and husband Bruce; granddaughter Jennifer Cox; and great grandson Scott Winkler; and many loving nieces and nephews. Mae will be greatly missed by family and friends.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Midland, PO Box 2621, Midland, Texas 79702.The family will receive friends on Monday, March 4, 2013 from 6:00-8:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 3:00PM at Jarratt Cemetery in Jacksonville, Texas.
