Elizabeth M. Harris, 86, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, January 18, 2001, in a local hospital. Graveside funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, January 22, 2001, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Elder Clinton, Elder Henry and Pastor Gambrell, officiating. She was born on November 9, 1914 in Monticello, Kentucky and married Melvin T. Harris on September 25, 1933 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on February 21, 1986. Mrs. Harris moved to Big Spring in 1984 from Clarksburg, Missouri and was a homemaker. She was a member of Apostolic for God. Survivors include two daughters, Frances L. Smith of Eastland and Melva June Clinton of Big Spring; two sons, Kenneth Wayne Harris of Portland, Oregon and Larry Leon Harris of Garver, Oklahoma; five sisters, Lexie Ramsey of Palestine, Bertha Sanford, Opal Wallace and Tommie Lavera Murry all of Gainesville and Edna Moore of Wichita Falls; one brother, Earl Martin of Wyoming; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Homer Thomas Harris; two brothers, Elmer Martin and Paul Martin and one sister, Nancy Martin.
