Elizabeth “Liz” Strickland, 79, of Big Spring, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 6, 2021 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.
She was born July 10, 1942 in Shaw, Mississippi and was a longtime resident of Big Spring. Liz loved collecting lighthouses, cooking and spending time with family.
Survivors include two sons, Pete James and Steven Strickland; three daughters, Brenda Darnell, Patricia Ridgeway and Mary Gillette; two sisters, Helen Hoggard and Willie Miller; two brothers, Abe Austin and Dave Manguchi; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Martha Burks.
