Elizabeth “Lisa” Lynn Stewart Shrauner passed peacefully in her sleep on August 4, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on April 30, 1967, in Lubbock, Texas, she graduated from high school in Giddings, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Franklin Stewart III and Nancy Carole Tate Stewart; her brother, John Franklin Stewart IV; her aunt, Diane (Schroeder) Garner; her cousin, Gregory Paul Schroeder; and her great-nephew, Jacob David Ringenbach.
Lisa is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, James Shrauner; her sons, Russell Shrauner and his fiancé, Dayton Carson, and Stewart Shrauner and his loving partner, Jessica Kent; her daughter, Jayme Lynn McIntosh, and her husband, Andrew; and her beloved grandchildren, Olivia and James McIntosh.
She is also survived by her sisters, Melanie Stewart, Kimberly Jones and her husband, Tim, and Aimee Kurio and her husband, Matt; her brother, Peter Stewart and his wife, Suzanne; her parents-in-law, David and Barbara Shrauner; her brother-in-law, Bryan Shrauner; and her sister-in-law, Vanessa Shrauner.
Lisa also leaves behind her nephews, Ryan Kasper and his wife, Melissa, David Shrauner, Jordan Jones, Jack Stewart, Jayson Jones, Jaxon Kurio, Grant Kurio, and Nicklaus Stewart; her nieces, Rachel Ringenbach and her husband, Ryan, Sarah Stanaland, Hannah Stewart, Rheagan Kurio, and Kylee Stanaland; her great-nephews, Lincoln and Matthew Ringenbach; and her great-nieces, Keyleigh Kasper, Addison Ringenbach, and Amelia Stewart-Bolieu. She dearly loved every member of her family.
A devoted Catholic, Lisa’s faith guided every aspect of her life. She found great joy in serving her church, her community, and anyone in need.
Strengthened by her faith in Christ and love for her family, Lisa courageously defeated cancer in 2001 and spent the next 25 years living with joy and gratitude.
Loving, kind, and extraordinarily thoughtful, Lisa devoted herself to enriching the lives of others, especially children. She inspired creativity and curiosity while generously sharing her time, talents, and imagination, making every child feel loved. Family, friends, and even strangers in need could always count on her beautiful spirit to brighten any room and lift every heart.
Lisa shared joy through her love of animals, movies, art, and creating meaningful experiences for those she loved. Her compassion, unwavering faith, generous heart, and love for God’s creation will remain her enduring legacy. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Pallbearers will be Tim Jones, Peter Stewart, David Shrauner, Jordan Jones, Jack Stewart, and Jayson Jones.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jaxon Kurio, Grant Kurio, Nicklaus Stewart, and James McIntosh.
A wake and rosary will be held on Wednesday August 12, 2026 from 7-9 PM at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 1906 W. Texas Avenue, Midland, Texas.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday August 13, 2026 at 2 PM at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 1906 W. Texas Avenue, Midland, Texas, with a reception immediately following.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday August 15th at 11:30 AM at Giddings City Cemetery located at 900 W Austin Street in Giddings, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Lisa’s memory.
