Elizabeth Glasscock Dennison, 91, was welcomed into heaven on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 after joyfully living a life filled with faith and family. She was born in Pecos, Texas on March 26, 1925 to Clara Rutledge Glasscock and William Rector Glasscock. She graduated from Pecos High School and received her degree from Texas Christian University and remained a devoted alumna and Horn Frog fan.Elizabeth was a career woman before she married, working for Princeton University's College Hall of Fame Coach, Charlie Caldwell, for the Girls Scouts at the national level and the American Cancer Society. After she married she became a teacher and then the Home-School Coordinator for the Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD until her retirement. She was named Educator of the Year in 1989. She was a member of First Christian Church in Pecos.After she retired, she lived in Atlanta for 16 years near her daughter and her family. She was involved in many activities and especially enjoyed being a member of the Art Associates of the High Museum of Art and a Garden Associate at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. She was a member of Peachtree Christian Church and had many treasured friends. She will always be remembered for her quick wit and signature red glasses.She is predeceased by her husband John P. Dennison, her infant children, her parents Clara Mae and William Glasscock and her sister, Anne Glasscock Branch.She is survived by her daughters, Claire Griffith (Luther) of Atlanta, and Susan Lucas (Paul) of Midland and her son, Paul Thomas Dennison (Jodie) of Nashville and by her sister, Sherley Glasscock Unger, a niece and three nephews. She was a devoted grandmother to Ted and Charlie Griffith, Lauren Elizabeth Lucas Moncrief (Matt), Matthew Lucas (Allie) and Victoria Lucas and great grandmother to Henry, Lucas and Clara Elizabeth Moncrief.The family would like to thank Estella Belton, her devoted friend and caregiver, Marcie Culberson, Marie Greer, Shelley Hollum, Shawneequa, Kendrick, Jan Ortho and Kind Keepers, the Home Care Plus team and Hospice of Midland, especially Kellie Craft for their care and kindness. She enjoyed living at Polo Park and the wonderful friends that she made there.In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to Hospice of Midland, the West of the Pecos Museum or a charity of your choice.A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, October 7, 2016 at First Christian Church in Midland with burial following at 3:00 pm at Mt.
