To all in Elbert's dear family.......I was very saddened to see that Elbert had passed away but we know he was met at Heaven's door by Monohn and many others. We always enjoyed visiting Elbert and Monohn each time, especially when we would go together for the holiday bank functions. May our Heavenly Father give comfort to each of you his loved ones in all the coming days. Love, Dorothy L. Rogers

Bro. Elbert has been a special part of our family as long as I can remember. From my earliest days as a missionary kid, to my high school days at Trinity Baptist Church, and then our years of serving on staff at the church. Bro. Elbert was a special encouragement and blessing to me in a unique way in each one of those stages of life. He loved his church family and was always looking for ways to help those in need. He was faithful and steady, and he was a joy to our family. I look forward to seeing him and Monohn in heaven! We love this family and we are praying for you! Joey Bacon

Elbert Long was one of the finest men I have ever known. His lifelong example of a dedicated Christian husband, father and Grandfather was an example for all the men who knew him. When my daughter and son tagged along to his house with Krystle and Shay they were always received with the same love and affection as his own grandchildren. The ten years I served on the deacon board at Trinity Baptist Church, Brother Elbert’s leadership was guided by Gods Word and his love for the church. At the end of business before the closing prayer Brother Elbert would always make a motion “that we’ll all go get a hamburger!” Carried all in favor. I loved Brother Elbert and while his physical body has left us, the love that’s in my heart I get to keep forever. Lord Jesus please comfort brother Elbert’s family as only you can and give them the peace that passes all understanding. Amen
