Egelee Patterson, 93, of Big Spring, died on Tuesday, April 24, 2001, in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, April 27, 2001, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Dudley Mullins, pastor of East Fourth Street Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Coahoma Cemetery. She was born on October 21, 1907 in Rosston, Texas and married Morris Clifton Patterson on July 25, 1928 in Lubbock, Texas. He preceded her in death on December 11, 1953. Mrs. Patterson worked for Cosden Oil and Chemical Company as an addresser in the graph room for ten years, retiring in 1968. She enjoyed quilting, tatting and stamp collecting. She loved her family, especially her husband, daughters and grandchildren. She was a member of East Fourth Street Baptist Church was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. Survivors include her daughter, Dorthy Derden of Abilene; one sister, Levie Mae Rowland of Morton; thirteen grandchildren, thirty plus great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Katherine Edwards, and one granddaughter, Julie Ann Edwards. The family suggests memorials to: American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association. Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers and all other grandchildren are considered honorary pallbearers. Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.,
