Edward “Eddie” John Livingston, 50, of Midland, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018. A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Alamo Heights Baptist Church in Midland.Eddie was born on December 22, 1967 to Gerald and Carol Livingston in Tulsa, OK. Eddie attended Robert E Lee and was in the band drum line. Eddie was drawn to the drums around the age of 7. He taught himself to play drums and became one the greatest drummers in the business. He was very well respected in the music industry. Eddie played and toured with many local and nationally recognized bands during his life long career. His passion for music was evident to everyone who knew him. While music was his biggest passion, it was nothing compared to his love of his family, girlfriend and his dogs.Eddie’s other passion was BMX racing. He began this around the age of 7 as well. He won numerous National and Regional championships. His BMX career lasted into his early 40’s. He was recently nominated to the Texas BMX Hall of Fame.He is survived by his mother, Carol Livingston, his longtime love, Peggy Kayser, his sister, Cathy McKenzie of Dallas, TX, and his brother, Brian Osbourne and wife Kelly of Stanton, TX. He is also survived by his nephews, Craig McKenzie and wife Su of Grapevine TX, Evan Shey McKenzie and Valorie Cuellar of Austin, TX; his great niece, Morgan and great nephew, James; uncles, Kenneth Wilson and wife Ruby and Larry Wilson and wife Karen of Sapulpa, OK; and by numerous cousins.Eddie is preceded in death by his father, Gerald Austin Livingston, maternal grandmother Edith Wilson, and paternal grandparents, John and Mary Livingston.In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be donated to Alamo Heights Baptist Church in Midland, TX.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
