Edith P. Murphree, "Dollie" "Grandma" Grammy", was born on July 31, 1923, and after a blessed long life she peacefully passed away on May 19, 2007. In 1951, she married the love of her life, Vandoyl Murphree, who preceded her in death on August 19, 1988.Dollie is survived by her beloved daughter, Melody J. Bolin and son in-law Tommy D. Bolin; grandchildren include Brandon Bolin and wife Mandy, Brennan Bolin, and Tory Bolin and great-granddaughter Caeleigh Bolin. She was known as "Grammy" to many others including Jennifer Bolin, Taylor Bolin, Tommy, Ryan and Ashlynn Cartmill, Kyle, Matthew and Wesley Sharp and a host of friends from her church and life in Katy, Texas, where she resided the last seven years. Dollie also leaves behind her much loved sister, Juanita Slay and best friend of 43 years, Lois McElreath and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 24, 2007, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring with Rev. Jerry Edmondson, pastor of The Fellowship at Cinco Ranch, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.Pallbearers include Brandon Bolin, Brennan Bolin, Harold Sharp, Jack Hamilton, Ron Sharp and Tommy Cartmill.
