In the 25 + years that I have known Mr. Dorchester, I may have only seen him 50 some odd times. It was usually when we were fishing or hunting and yet, he never failed to ask about my family and kids, and work and life. And he was sincere. He would ask in the way that let you know that he really cared. He just had that way of making and keeping friends. He will be missed. Mrs. Dorchester, Diana, Brian and family; we are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. God Bless.

Betty Newman left a message on December 11, 2009:
Many years ago, Mr. Dorchester was my Sunday School director at FBC, Big Spring. What delightful memories I have of his patience with 9-10 year olds. My favorite memory was his dedication to have us engaged as active participants in the opening session of Sunday School by singing, playing the piano, reading a scripture, etc. I will always have such fond childhood memories because of him. What an excellent witness he was for Christ.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Dave Dorchester was a very decent gentleman whose kindness to others reflected the Christian character within him. In 35 years of knowing him, I never heard one word spoken against him by another. I value the opportunity I had to know Dave and I join many who will miss him but be grateful that we knew him. John Hyde 12/11/09
