I had Dr Khosla for my physics 2 class at OC over a summer session. I never knew how much fun you could have in a physics class!!! (my physics 1 class was anything but that at Texas Tech). Dr Khosla always talked about electricity and how it was always good for 'cooking hot dogs and tortillas'. I made an A in that class thanks to his wit and keeping things fun for all of us. He will always be remembered as one of my favorite professors. it's just a shame he isnt still with us to teach more kids how to have fun with physics....

Dr. Khosla was by far my favorite teacher or professor I ever had. His love for teaching, brilliance and enthusiasm will never be forgotten. I will always remember this one time during class when I was struggling with a problem on an assignment. He walked past me and asked me if I was having difficulties, i said yes, he asked if it was calculus and I said yes. He said, "Ill show you calculus" and wrote a few formulas on the board. It suddenly all made sense to me. He was the most amazing professor ever and I miss him a lot

I was fortunate enough to come home from college for a summer, and after receiving a D grade in my Physics I class at Texas Tech, I enrolled with Dr Khosla's class for Physics II hoping I could get a passing grade after hearing Physics II was harder than Physics I, I was not optimistic. I spent the summer with Dr Khosla learning his fun personality and colloquialisms about parts of physics that made the entire class fun. I still use a few of them today after almost 30 years of taking his class. The world lost a good man in Dr Khosla and I had only learned of his passing recently but wanted to extend my condolences for this great teacher and mentor. I remember asking him 'why dont you teach at the university level?' ....his response?...'I dont like do research'....which told me that he enjoyed the time in class bewildering his students with the facets of electricity and how when you cross two electrical lines, you pull out the 'hot dogs and tortillas'.

My prayers are with the family. I am still in shock. I always enjoyed talking with him over lunch. I admired the way he spoke kindly of others and I enjoyed his unique perspective on topics.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Odessa College has suffered a great loss with the passing of Shoki. He was such a wonderful person and a great instructor who really cared about his students. There will also be a big void everytime I go to Dillards, as it never failed we would run into each other and talk for the longest time. I will really miss that. I will keep each of you in my thoughts and prayers and I know that he is smiling down on all of us. May God Bless you during this trying time.

Dr. Khosla was such an inspiration to me, as a physicist & a person. He carried himself with an aire of grace & propriety. He made sitting in his rooms two nights/wk from 7-10 for 2 semesters something I actually looked forward to! His dry wit kept me on my toes, and laughing alot of the time. I knew nothing of physics when I went in, and when I came out, I even considered changing my major to physics! This whole country has lost a GREAT educator. I will miss him.

I was one of Dr. Khosla's students back in the early 80's, probably about 1982. At an early time in my college career, he gave me confidence, showed me the joy of learning, and remains to this day one of the best teachers I ever had. I went on to go to medical school and become a physician, but even so I continue to enjoy studying and reading physics. Thanks so much, Dr. Khosla!
