Aunt Dorothy was a special lady, she was petite and attractive. She was my mother,Opal's, youngest sister So many wonderful memories. As a child when our family went to visit PaPa & MaMa Riley I would immediately go to aunt Dorothy's closet and get a pair of high heel shoes, clomp around in them all day. I do not recall her complaining about this & I had a fun time. My mother , Opal died Jan. 9, 1948. That summer aunt Dorothy & Uncle Burnon invited us to come and spend sometime with them. I was only 13 and dad put me & my younger sister, ruby, on a train in Little Rock, AR. We traveled all night & part of the next day. We spent a month with them and they were so kind & good to us showing us a great time. I shall never forget their love and kindness to us.

I have known this precious lady for over 50 years and love her dearly. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. We shared the same birthday (different years) and lots of wonderful memories. Dorothy was a blessing to my sister during Janice's fight with cancer and ultimate death. She has also been a dear friend to Virginia which says a lot for both of them. Billy and Pam you were blessed with an extraordinary woman as your mother and Ken and feel so blessed to have known her. Love.to you all. Ken and Bonnie Bridgeman Bowen
