A retired executive of Getty Oil Co., Mr. Miller preceded her in death on December 30, 1987.Her ranch in Bastrop, Texas was purchased by her and the late Mr. Miller in 1984 and was a very special family gathering place. Whether she was your acquaintance, friend, sister, grandmother or mother, she would always greet you with a smile and a feeling of being special. We will forever be grateful for the privilege of having her in our lives. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie E. and George Johnson of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Stacey A. and Steve Ekstrand of Pasadena, California; one son and daughter-in-law, John E. and Rene Miller of Katy; one sister, Betty Cox of Big Spring; two brothers, Rex Kennedy of Bandera and Frank Kennedy of Whitney and a brother-in-law, John P. Mom, we will never know why you were taken from us, but we do know you are in a better place surrounded by loved ones. The legacy you and dad left will endure for generations to come. You will never know how much you meant to so many people and how much your presence was a comfort to all. You had the nobility of a queen, the grace of a princess, yet the arrogance of a pauper. You were truly three times a lady.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105, Tribute #12939850.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
