My most sincere condolences and prayers to all. I got to know Ms. Dorothy thru the Martin Co. Senoir Citizens Center where i work and she attended. A very sweet and dear lady. She was missed when she left to move from Stanton. May She rest in peace...

Dorothy and Bob were like second parents to me growing up. Our families were very close and a lot of my growing up days were at the Deavenport’s house, playing basketball with Tommy and all of the neighborhood boys, Deavenport’s clothing store, summer track and after little league games at the Walker’s with Dorothy and Bob. Dorothy was one of the nicest ladies I ever knew and was a big influence in my life. Pug and I grew up together and there are so many good memories from those days with Dorothy and Bob. She was such a great example of a Christian and how you should treat people and I know she will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time.

What a huge loss for this world but I know how much Bob is happy to have his Dorothy with him! Those two were a dream team that’s for sure...wherever they were or whatever they were doing was always a caring success...their hearts were the goldest of gold.I remember once Bob cut his finger at the food bank and Dorothy sat him down to place a bandaid on his finger...I walked in on that and told them they were painting a Norman Rockwell for me...Bob seemed pleased by that...he knew I could see the love they had for each other...know that they truly made a lasting difference here...they made history...we should all strive to love and give as they did!Condolences and love to you all.Georgeann Herzog Walton
