Dorothy C. Bales, 93, of Big Spring, died on Sunday, May 11, 2008, in a local nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Trinity Memorial Park with Rev. Pat Ray, pastor of Prairie View Baptist Church, officiating.She was born on October 20, 1914, in Dallas, Texas, and married James R. "Bo" Bales on November 10, 1933 in San Angelo, Texas. He preceded her in death on September 29, 1987.She grew up in Dallas and later in San Angelo. She owned and operated Coahoma Motel for many years, until retiring. She was a Baptist.Survivors include one daughter & son-in-law, Claudine and Jimmy Tucker of Big Spring; two sons & daughters-in-law, Jerry Don and Toni Bales of Big Spring and Douglas and Lovetta Bales of Irving; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Jane Easterday on March 16, 1999; and by four sisters. The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
