Doris Mason Weaver was born in Rush Springs, Oklahoma on August 26, 1930 to Elmer E. Mason and Naomi Callie Mason. She passed away peacefully at her home in Manor Park in Midland, Texas on July 2, 2014. She is survived by her husband, Joe Weaver.She is also survived by sons, Mike Weaver and wife Becky and Phil Weaver and wife Kasey of Midland, Texas; Chris Weaver and partner Ruth Boren of Houston, Texas; and daughter Jana Lewallen and husband Joey of Dallas, Texas; her sister Charlotte Williams and husband Gene of Ft. Worth, Texas and brother Ron Mason and wife Jan of Tyler, Texas. She also cherished her grandchildren, Joe Robert Weaver, Julie MacNeil, Jason Weaver, Erin Renfro, Lauren Weaver, Andrew Weaver, Matt Weaver, Kelly Weaver, Lindsay Schrock, Jake Lewallen and Erica Lewallen as well as 11 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.Doris married her soul mate, Joe Weaver, on December 22, 1950 in Hobbs, New Mexico. She partnered with him in his career in the oil industry, living in Hobbs, Andrews, Midland, New Orleans and Houston. She had been a resident of Midland for the last 36 years and was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church for 25 years.Doris loved the Lord with all her heart, soul and mind and truly loved others. She was selflessly devoted to her family and was an amazing influence and inspiration to them all. She had the gift of hospitality, always made others feel welcome and oversaw countless gatherings of family and friends in her home. Doris loved cooking, gardening, reading, playing games and working puzzles. She had a zest for living, yet always looked forward to spending eternity in heaven. While she will be sorely missed, we celebrate her life and her promotion from this world to paradise.The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Amy Jones and Felisa Villafranco for their tireless service and compassion during the past several months and Hospice of Midland in her final days. They also would like to thank Terri Gordon for years of caring support and Pat Thames for her unwavering friendship. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 4, 2014 from 5:00-7:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 1:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel, 3800 N. Big Spring St., Midland, TX, 79705 with Skip Hedgpeth officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Midland, Home Hospice or charities of choice.,
