Doris Ann Hull

Doris Ann Bryant Hull, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2023, at the age of 87. She was born on January 22, 1936, to the late Dock & Evelyn Bryant in Lenorah, Texas.

Doris was a woman of immense strength, grace, and unwavering love. On August 1, 1953, at the age of 17, she married the love of her life, Homer Lee Hull, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. Their marriage was a testament to their commitment and devotion, spanning an incredible 70 years!

Doris and Homer Lee were blessed with four children, Brad, Denneth (Gay), Garry (Julie), and one daughter, Tressa, all of Stanton. Doris poured her heart and soul into raising her children, teaching them and guiding them to live their life for our Lord in Heaven. She instilled in them the values of kindness, compassion, and hard work. She was their guiding light, always there to offer, support, encouragement, and a listening ear.

As a grandmother, Doris was adored by her 11 grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories filled with love, laughter, and countless stories. Doris was also blessed with 22 great-grandchildren, who brought an extra sparkle to her eyes. She loved watching them grow and was always their biggest cheerleader.

Doris had a passion for life and found joy in the simplest of things. She spent countless hours tending to her yard, which was a reflection of her nurturing spirit. Doris was very creative had many talents. She was an amazing artist, an excellent seamstress, and was always willing to learn new trades. In the early 80’s, they moved part of the Courtney Baptist Church as an addition to their home that she helped design, build and rebuild

Her warm smile, infectious laughter, and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew her. Doris will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her selflessness, and her ability to make everyone feel loved and valued. As a devoted Christian woman, she leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience that will continue to inspire generations to come.

Doris is survived by two sisters, Virginia (JD) and Brenda and one brother, Phillip (Janie), and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant girl, her great granddaughter Keylin, a brother, Willard and a son-in-law, Wes. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A private celebration of Doris’s life was held for the family. Doris and Homer Lee are passionate about giving and donating to children’s hospitals, so in lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks you to give to a children’s hospital of your choice.

Rest in peace, dear Doris. Your love and light will continue to forever shine brightly in our hearts and in Heaven.
