Donald Jones, 67, of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, February 10, 2006 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland with J.B. Shewmake, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the services, 3800 N. Big Spring St. in Midland.He was born on May 7, 1938, in Tarzan, Texas to James and Bessie Jones and married Sue Gilmer on February 5, 1966 in Mesquite, Texas. She preceded in death in September of 2003. He graduated from Grady High School and lived in Tarzan before attending Texas Tech University, where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He worked as a engineer manager for Texas Instruments in Dallas for many years. Later, he moved to Midalnd to be close to his family. Don loved hunting and fishing.Survivors include two daughters, Donna Sue and husband Ed Clements of Fincastle, Virginia and Trayce Allen of Terrell; one son, Jesse and wife Alishia Jones of Midland; four grandchildren, Lauren and Emma Clements and Trevor and Linda Nicole Allen.
