My heartfelt condolences to the family. My brother, John D. Pool, Jr., was friends with Don since their college days. He thought the world of him and considered him one of his closest friends. Don attended John's funeral last year and brought me a wonderful picture of them together at a cave with pictographs in Big Bend. They had some wonderful adventures together. I hope they are reminiscing over them tonight.

I am saddened to hear that we have lost Big Don and at the same time I am pleased that he is finally with his Lord. I have so many fond memories of him. Traveling to Big Spring was always a treat. He was such a wonderful friend to my mom & dad. He & Viva were loved by & considered part of our family. I loved hearing the stories they would tell about when they were young. Don was always smiling & gave the best hugs!!!! He was a true man of God & is now reunited with Viva. I'm sure he & Daddy are up in heaven laughing & reminiscing. My thoughts & prayers are with all of you. I love you all dearly!!!!Kim
