Don Riley Proctor, age 90, of Odessa and formerly of Big Spring, passed away August 27th, 2009. He was born April 27th, 1919 in Glendale California. He was the son of Riley and Lois Proctor. He married Mary Ellen Pfister June 14th, 1942. She preceded him in death in 1994.He obtained his degree in physics from University of California at Berkeley. He was a professional electronic engineer and developed processes and has patent in optics, electronics, and filament winding. He held numerous positions in Kiwanis and the square and Round Dance Association. He held numerous positions in Kiwanis and the Square and Round dance Association. His hobbies included photography, computer programming, tennis and crossword puzzles.He was survived by his sons and dauthers-in law, James and Margaret Proctor of CarsonCity, Nevada; Bill and Jude Proctor of Lakewood Colorado; daughter and son-in-law Laurie and Randy Burks of Big Spring; and daughter Sheri Proctor of Big Spring. Grandchildren include Chris Proctor, Michael Proctor, Sandi Patterson, Kimberli Sarsfield, Haley Burks, Hillary Burks and seven great-grandshildren. He is also survived by special companion, Dorene Becht.He was a member of the First Christian Church of Odessa.
