Dolores Wickline, 84, of Big Spring, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, in a Lubbock hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 24, 2013 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Ken McIntosh, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 23, 2013, at the funeral home.Dolores was born December 30, 1928, in DeLeon, Texas and married Phillip Wickline September 3, 1949 in DeLeon. He preceded her in death August 7, 1975.Dolores came to Big Spring in 1960 and taught typing at Big Spring High School for 29 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and was an avid sports fan.She was a member of First Christian Church.Survivors include one son, Jeff Wickline and wife, Janet of San Marcos; two daughters, Sherry Valencia and husband, David of Odessa, and Teresa Green and husband, Steve of Levelland; six grandchildren, Justin Myers and wife, Sara, Blake Myers and wife, Cayle, Stacy Ebmeier and husband, Steve, Michael Valencia, Kara Wickline, and Stephanie Wickline; and seven great grandchildren.Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Jefferson Davis and Jimbelle (Watkins) Tate; and one brother.The family suggests memorials be made to Accolade Hospice, 5201 Indiana Ave. #200, Lubbock, Texas 79413 or to the charity of one's choice.
