Teresa, I am so sorry for yours and your family's loss. I didn't know your mom, but you must have gottten your sweetness from her. I fondly remember working with you at Leonard's Pharmacy. You were so nice to John who had a big crush on you! Prayers and thoughts to you all.

Sherry and all family members, I am very sorry for your loss. It is so ironic that I was typing on my computer this morning, thinking how glad I am that I can type properly. This was because of only one semester of typing with Mrs. Wickline, that I took I guess just as an elective at BSHS sometime around 1970 or 1971. She was so nice and so helpful, and because of that, I learned so much. Some people live their entire lives, and really don't make a difference, but you will always have the comfort of knowing how many lives she touched. God Bless.

Dear family: I loved both of your parents and still laugh to recall your dad telling me in science class that if I hooked myself up to a low voltage electric source, I could get by on less sleep. He sent me to the principal's office when we went through a pacifier stage, and I don't mean pacifist. I use the skills I learned from your mother every single day, just as I am doing right now. I can just feel her standing near me in class, handing out papers, and once, asking me in a kind voice, whether I'd tried to erase a typing error. You may recall I wrote your mom years ago to tell her how much I appreciated the things I learned in her class. I'm sorry for your loss and hope you know that your mom lived a great and useful life.

My heart is full, remembering times past with your whole family and of course, conversations with your mother. Many talks come to mind but the one I liked most was her recitation of Jeff calling from college to ask how to make mashed potatoes. She got such a kick from that and seemed proud that he would turn to her in his time of need. I am sorry I was not in town for the funeral and in fact did not know until just now. I will let Debbie, Johnny, and Renee know. You all were a big part of my formative years. Please feel free to contact me- I would love to catch up; I am still in Big Spring. I loved your mother and I love your family. Charla

So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was, absolutely, one of my favorite teachers, and one of the nicest people I've ever known. She had such a positive influence on so many, not only through her teaching, but on a personal level, also.
