Dolores “Dee” Mae Furin Head, 78, of Midland passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015. Viewing will be from 8:00am-9:00pm on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home with visitation from 6:00pm-8:00pm that evening. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at First Christian Church with Reverend Paula Brooks officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.Dee was born on January 14, 1937 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio to Joseph and Eva Arlene Brazie Furin. She was a wonderful role model to her five children, David, Cindy, Dale, Georgetta, and William. Dee was a strong Christian woman and a member of Midland’s First Christian Church for 42 years. Together Dee and her husband, George T. Head, or “Sweetie” as she lovingly referred to him, shared 27 years of marriage. She worked as a waitress at Luigi’s for 25 years, K-Mart in Odessa for several years, and was a full time homemaker. Her greatest hobby was antiquing. She loved to restore and refinish furniture. Much of her time was spent at her multiple antique booths at Wall Street Antiques, but she also worked as the manager at Cedar Chest Antique Store. Dee was a woman of many talents, whether it was her flourishing garden or her delicious meals and deserts, she excelled at everything. Dee loved to dance and entertain guests and family at her home. She also had a love for the outdoors, especially fishing. Dee was even featured in the newspaper holding one of her large trophy sized catches. She loved to laugh and always had a beautiful smile on her face that could light up any room. She never met a stranger and was a true friend to all. Dee will always be remembered and treasured as a loving mother, devoted wife, and an incredible friend to many. She will be truly missed.Dee is survived by her sweetie, George T. Head; son, David Bordner and his wife, Karen; brother, Joe Furin and his wife Lee from Seattle, Washington; sister Doris Huff from Cleveland, Ohio; brother, David Furin and his wife Peggy from Ft. Pierce, Florida; grandchildren, Shanna Fehr and husband, Rob, and their children, Avley and Summer; Shelbi Dam and husband, Chandra, and their son, Luke; Megan Elling and husband, Andrew, and their son, Gavin; Zak Hall; and Haley Bordner all from Abilene, Texas; daughter, Cindy Bordner Parks and husband, Ron, of Schertz, Texas; grandchildren, Rori Sheffield and Taylor Ashby; great-grandchildren, Braedon and Jaden Sheffield; son, Dale Bordner and wife, Suzette of Waco, Texas; grandson, Rhett Bordner and his daughter, Emelia Quitugua Bordner; granddaughter, Cassandra Bordner; daughter, Georgetta Overstreet and Husband, Rickey of Bastrop, Texas; son, William Head and wife, Christina of Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Lance Overstreet and wife, Lynette, and Casey Overstreet and wife, Jennifer; and great-grandchildren, Matthew Fleeman, Madison Overstreet, Kyle Overstreet, Olivia Overstreet, Emma Overstreet; and numerous friends.She is preceded in death by her loving grandson, Austin M.
