Dena Rae Perez-Ledbetter, 39, of Greenwood, died Saturday, June 15, 2013, in an Odessa hospital. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.She was born September 22, 1973, in Midland, Texas and married Ron Ledbetter April 25, 1992 in Big Spring, Texas.Dena was raised in Big Spring and graduated from Big Spring High School in 1992. She attended Howard College and Midland College. She moved to Greenwood in 2003 after living in several places with her husband who served in the military. She enjoyed crafts, volunteering and helping people and Facebooking.Survivors include her husband, Ron Ledbetter of Greenwood; a daughter, Elizabeth Marie Alvarado and husband, Leonel of Lubbock; her parents, Ramiro and Sandra Perez of Greenwood; two brothers, Robert Perez of Houston and Richard Perez and wife, Shawna of Little Elm; two nieces, Ashli Perez and Brittany Perez; two nephews, Brandon Perez and Corbyn Ledbetter; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gary and Norma Ledbetter of Greenwood; a sister-in-law, Jennifer Ledbetter of Greenwood; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.The family suggests memorials be made to Lupus Foundation of America, Inc., 2000 L Street, N.W., Suite 410, Washington, DC 20036 or to American Cancer Society, Relay For Life, % Sandy Griffin, 1217 E. 17th, Big Spring, Texas 79720.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
