Deloris Sipes was born to the Hamilton family on August 4, 1935 in Lubbock, Texas and passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2006. She was raised in Lubbock and graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Home Economics. Deloris married Buddy Sipes on September 7, 1956 and together they raised their children, traveled, and participated in community activities for nearly 50 years.She is preceded in death by both of her parents and her older brother, Billie Hamilton. Deloris leaves behind her husband, Buddy Sipes, son Kevin and wife Nancy Sipes, daughter Kenda and husband David Frederick all of Midland. Survivors include her granddaughters Krista and husband Patrick Thomson of College Station, Kara and husband Thomas Hryhorchuk of Enid, Oklahoma, Kelli Frederick of College Station, Casey Sipes of College Station, and great-granddaughter Kyler Hryhorchuk of Enid.Deloris and her husband Buddy first moved to Midland in 1963, lived in Houston for 12 years, and returned to Midland in 1983. Deloris?s greatest joy was her family. She delighted in visiting new places with family members and recently planned a special trip to Alaska for the entire family. Her generosity, sense of humor, and kindness will be missed by all of her family and friends. The family visitation will be held from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Nalley-Pickle &Welch Funeral Home at 3800 N. Big Spring on Friday, August 11th. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at First Baptist Church of Midland located at 2104 Louisiana. The family requests that memorials be directed to Hospice Midland, Safe Place of Midland, or Midland Fair Havens.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland.
