Dee Gerald Thomas, 74, of Big Spring, died on Monday, July 15, 2002, in a local hospital. Graveside funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at Mt. Olive Memorial Park with Rev. Walter McCall, a Baptist minister, officiating.      He was born on September 21, 1927 in Big Spring, Texas and married Bobbie Green on August 10, 1952 in Portales, New Mexico.      Mr. Thomas was a long time resident of Big Spring and attended Big Spring schools. He graduated from Paschall High School in Fort Worth and attended Texas Tech University and Howard College. He worked for Cosden and Fina for over 30 years before retiring.     Mr. Thomas was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a Mason and a Shriner and also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict.     Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Thomas of Big Spring; one daughter, Susan Thomas of Midland; one brother, James Thomas of Cleburn; and several nieces and nephews.     The family will recieve friends from 7:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.     The family suggests memorials to: American Diabetes Association, Texas Affiliate, Inc., Western Regional Office, 8008 Slide Road, Lubbock, Texas 79424.     Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. www.npwelch.com,
