David Wayne Green, 45, of Big Spring, died on Monday, January 22, 2007, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Floyd Green, Jr., pastor of House of Hope Community Church, Colorado City and Rev. Benjamin D. Watson, pastor of Jordan AME, Denver, Colorado, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.David Wayne was born in Big Spring, Texas on March 9, 1961 to the Rev. and Mrs. Floyd Green, Sr. He attended and graduated from Big Spring High School in May of 1983. In his lifetime, he worked and enjoyed going to the West Texas Centers where he made many friends. He was a member of Bakers Chapel AME Church.David leaves his loving father, Rev. Floyd Green, Sr.; four brothers, Floyd Green, Jr. and wife, Sandra, James Green and wife, Debra, Richard Green and wife, Percilla and Lonnie Green and wife, Connie; four sisters, Mary Watson, his loving sister that took such good care and nurtured him with love, Rosie Green, Claudette Forward and husband, Cleve and Evelyn Wilkins; many nieces and nephews, Ben Watson and wife, Debra, Reginald Anding, Kevin Watson and wife, Misty, Kim Anding and wife, Beverly, Samuel Watson, Jr., a nephew that was more like a brother that took care of him, Gary Green and wife, Abigail, James Bishop Green, D'Angela Green, Stephanie Green, Katherine Green, Alicia Green, Tiffanie Green, Richard Green, Frankie Green, Bryan Wilkins, Clarence Wilkins, Chris Wakefield, Bobby Deman Green and Terrance Green and wife, Crystal; five great nieces; seven great nephews; his two aunts, Modette Shields and Mrs. Ruthie Shields; many cousins and a host of friends.Preceding him in his home going was his mother, Coriene Shields Green; two sisters, Ruby Anding and Eboni Wakefield; one brother, Rev. Bobby Lee Green and his grandparents, Harry and Corine Shields and Herman and Christine Green.
