David Wayne Buckner, Sr., 62, of San Angelo, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring. Interment will follow at Ackerly Cemetery, Ackerly, Texas.

He was born November 6, 1958 in Big Spring to Bo Buckner and Cleo Cocker Buckner. David married Donna Harris February 14, 1993 in Big Spring.
David worked in the oil field as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for over 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, riding motorcycles and playing drums. He was a collector of American antique muscle cars and trucks. David was a member of District 11, absentee, of the Choctaw Nation in Oklahoma.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Buckner of San Angelo; three children, Natalie Renee Townsend and husband, Billy Christian of Big Spring, David Wayne Buckner, Jr. and wife, Tonya, of San Angelo, and Amy Bledsoe of San Angelo; eight grandchildren, Macie Menefield, Luis Casillas, Zilan Townsend, Justis Buckner, Ryley Buckner, Blaize Buckner, Alex Horton and Tyler Bledsoe; two great-grandchildren, Josephine Menefield and Judah Menefield; four brothers, Ricky Sides, Terry Hancock, Jerry Hancock, Steve Croft; three sisters, Missy Long, Sherri Nichols and Darla Mach.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Ruthie Murphree.
The family suggests memorials to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, National Headquarters, 6520 N. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309-2132.
