David Stanley Meade, 42, of Midland went to be with The Lord on December 24, 2014 due to complications from his illness. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, January 3, 2015 atSt. Stephen's Catholic Church, 4601 Neely Ave. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.David was born in Metairie, Louisiana on June 24, 1972 to Marie and Ted Meade. He moved to Midland with his family in the summer of 1979. He then attended St. Ann's School. David graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1990. He attended Texas Tech and Lubbock Christian University and majored in Business Management. David worked as a food and beverage manager before becoming ill.David loved cooking and was a very good cook. He loved sitting around a warm fire with friends or family. He enjoyed boating, fishing and hunting. He couldn't resist taking in a dog that needed a home. David had a big heart and loved helping others in need.He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ruby Beauvais Meade and Theodore Charles Meade Jr.He is survived by his parents, Marie and Ted Meade; a son, Masen; his brothers, Tim, and his wife Christine, and their daughters, Allie and Katie of Lubbock; and Todd, and his wife Tiffany, and their sons, Gunner and Logan; his maternal grandparents, Stella and Stanley Meany of Metairie, Louisiana and, aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him very much. And last, but not least, his faithful dog, Mandy.Pallbearers are his brothers, Tim and Todd Meade, and, Mark Woolsey, Jeff Donnell, Chris McCracken, and John Thompson.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Helping Hands of Midland, Lonestar Animal Shelter, or a charity of your choice.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
