David Lee Collins Jr.

David Lee Collins, Jr., 73, of Big Spring, joined his wife Regina Toni Collins in heaven, Monday, January 13, 2025.  Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with military honors rendered by Ft. Cavazos Honor Guard.

David was born December 30, 1951 to parents Marsie (Greene) and David Lee Collins, Sr. in Midland, Texas.  David was a veteran in the United States Army. He had been a resident of Big Spring for most of his life.  He married Regina Toni Griffin.  He worked as a laborer for most of his life at Ace Hardware and Fiber Rod.

He is survived by his children James Fox, Gary Fox, Katrinia Stevens, Destanie Newman and Chrystal Phillips. He is also survived by his sister Zelma Collins and brother Samuel Collins along with many cousins and friends. He and his first wife (Edith Loraine Merrick) adopted his brothers, Sam Collins, LC Collins and Jeffery Collins.

He was preceded in death by his wife Regina Toni Collins; his father David Lee Collins, Sr.; his mother Marsie Lee Collins; sister Annie Samuels and brothers Archie Collins, Jeffery Collins and LC Collins.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the VA Medical Center for the tender care they gave to David.
