Jeff and I had been close friends since our days at Jane Long Elementary in Freeport. Between the two of us he had a lot of firsts. First electric guitar, first to play in a band, first to have a “Hot” car. His was a blue Dodge Swinger 340. He loved playing the guitar and enjoyed playing trombone in the bands all through school. As youngsters we enjoyed many sleepovers at the Sander’s home, going for lots of bike rides all through Freeport at one o’clock in the morning seeing, of course, who could ride the fastest. Thankfully, we never got into serious trouble. As adults, our conversations always revolved around music and cars. I will miss my dear friend and know I will see him again. My deepest sympathy to Pat, Ryan, and Kelly. God Bless. Tony Barnard

Zach and I (and Dawson), would like to extend our deepest condolences. We're going to miss our neighbor, who became a dear friend. He was always available with a wealth of knowledge on so many subjects, especially keeping the yard looking like a golf course. We are so thankful to God for putting us in our home next to such a great guy. We really couldn't have asked for a better neighbor. Kind, knowledgeable and so supportive. He loved us, our son, and even our dog and we loved him too.
