Nancy, Penny and I were so shocked to hear of David's homegoing. We remember you and him so well from our years together in Salem, Ohio. He used me as a reference on his missions application and I remember writing that if David felt God had called him to the missions field, he would not rest until he fulfilled that call. Fulfill it he did! Only heaven will reveal the results of his, and your, obedience. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Rev. Arnold Wheatley

Nancy, Jean and I were shocked to hear David had gone to be with the Lord. I had lost contact over the years since I moved back to SC. I have many fond memories of the many Evangel Temple trips he helped us with and the two long trips I took with him. I know the family will miss him and I know the hundreds of friends he had in Mexico will also grieve for him. He was a great missionary and one who loved the work of the missionary. We are in prayer for you and your son and daughter. David impacted the lives of many people and I know he is now in the presence of the Lord he served and worshipped. May the Lord strengthen you and surround you with His Presence in the days ahead. Terry and Jean Carter

Nancy, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of sadness, yet a time also to celebrate a wonderful man and a life fulfilled by God. We remember well getting to know you both and spending a week together at the missions convention in Toledo, OH. We enjoyed hearing how you reached out to children by flying homemade kites (made out of plastic shopping bags) through the villages. Christopher still has the kite David helped him make! We thank God for the impact David and you have had in Latin America, and we pray for God's peace and mercies to be present in this time of need. Love & Prayers, Kevin, Cindy & Christopher Elder

Nancy, I'm sure you don't remember me; however, you and your husband attended the same church I attended when I was a young girl in Andrews, TX. I just wanted to send my condolences to you during this difficult time and let you know that I'm praying for you. You and your husband had a profound impact on my life as a young teenager. Your passion for God was evident and contagious. I just wanted to say "thank you".
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Steve and Sheri Woodward left a message on November 30, -0001:
Dave was a real collegue in our missions ministry. Much of what I learned about working with missions teams I learned from David. In fact, we felt our call to Mexico while with David and Nancy in Merida in the early '90's. Also, when we arrived on the field in 1993, David was the first missionary to visit us and stay in our house. After 3 months of being on the field with no English, were we glad to see him! Afterward Steve went with David to do a church construction project in the jungles. This was Steve's first experience with a team as a new missionary.
