Virginia Darlene Reynolds, 75, entered God's Kingdom on the 25th day of December 2007.She was born in Abilene, Texas on June 23, 1932 to Beatrice and Tom Davidson. She lived in Abilene until her family moved to Roscoe, Texas in 1939. She graduated from Roscoe High School in 1950 and then moved to Sweetwater in 1951. She married Harlan A. Reynolds on May 9, 1953 in Sweetwater, Texas. She and Harlan lived in Stanton, Texas prior to moving to Midland, Texas in 1958 to 2002. She was a bookkeeper for Harlan Reynolds Construction for over 40 years. In 2002, she moved to Sherman, Texas. In 2003 she moved to Dallas, where she resided until the time of her death. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Harlan Reynolds and her parents.Darlene will be greatly missed by family and friends who loved her, and especially by her children and grandchildren who will always treasure her love, sweetness and caring ways.When her children were young she enjoyed teaching children's Sunday School, working VBS and was involved in Girl Scouts with her daughters. She also enjoyed crocheting, quilting, ceramics and sewing. Darlene was a member of Crestview Baptist Church in Midland, Texas.Those remaining in her family to cherish her memories include; daughters, Debra Murphy and husband, Lyle of Sherman, Texas and Sue Larsen and husband, Greg of Midland, Texas; son, Mark Reynolds of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren, Stacey Bishop and husband, Everett of Amarillo, Texas, Curtis Murphy of McKinney, Texas, Christopher Murphy and wife, Renee and great-grandson, Bryton of Sherman, Texas, Carrie Murphy of Sherman, Texas, Andrew Larsen of Midland, Texas, Jennifer and husband, Shawn Bentley, Petty Officer Second Class of the United States Navy, Fort Worth, Texas; brothers, Billy Davidson and wife, Velma of Fort Worth, Texas, Buster Davidson of Clyde, Texas; sister, Priscilla Davis and husband, Maurice of Odessa, Texas; as well as many nieces and nephews.Services will be held Friday, December 28, 2007 at 3:00 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Midland. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Desta Drive, Suite 270-E, Midland, TX 79705 or to the charity of your choice.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Priscilla, Debbie, Sue and Mark, My thougts and prayers are with each of you. I cannot image the pain that each of you feel at the loss of such a special sister and mother. While I only knew Darlene for a short time she made a great impact on my life. She found the good in everyone. We had many happy times together and my life is better for knowing Darlene. May God bless and comfort you in this time of sorrow.

Debbie, Mark and Sue Sorry to hear about the loss of your mother I still remember the days of going to your house and fooling around on the fun machine. I would love to go to the funeral to see you guys as it as been a long time and know you don't live in Midland anymore except for Sue but I lost a nephew in Oct that I don't think I can emotionally go to another funeral right now and he was at Nalley also who after going what I went through you couldn't find a greater group of people to take care of your loved one. The days are tough ahead but know you will find great comfort knowing she is with our lord and savior. The stories you hear from others about your mom will also be neat. My prayers are with you during this difficult time and hope one day to see you again.

When God decided to bring Darlene home There was nothing we could do We can't begrudge her Paradise Her job on Earth is through. She worked so hard to meet the test Her halo now is earned A "new" job is beginning for her One that is easily learned. She'll watch us now more carefully And guide us on our way A Guardian Angel she'll become And be with us everyday. For God would never take away The love that you have shared. She'll love you even "more" in Heaven And we know how much she cared. So even though it's hard right now To get over all the pain. Remember that you're being watched And loved over and over again. Mark, Debbie, and Sue, your mom was a super lady and will be greatly missed by all of us. Our prayers are with you and your families. We apologize for not being able to make it to the funeral, but we are on the road back from Madison WI and stopped in MO because of the snow. We love all of you.

Our sincere Love and Sympathy to all of Darlene's family: Sue, Debbie, Mark , Priscilla, Billy, and Buster. At 96, my Mother, Irene, is not able to travel but I have called her to tell of Darlene's passing. I am leaving Thursday for a late Christmas with Mother, but I plan to b e back for Darlene's service on Friday.

She will be missed greatly. I can remember working with Harlen and going over to their house for our lunch break, she would have lunch made for us. I also remember going over there and watching everyone playing games and listening to Mark play the piano when we were younger. I will cherish those memories for ever. I know she is not in pain anymore and that she is with our Lord and Savior and with Harlen, the man she loved so very much.

WE MET DARLENE REYNOLDS THROUGH PRISCILLA DAVIS SHE WAS SWEET AND KNEW MANY OF US. WE PRAY FOR THE FAMILY AND KNOWS SHE IS NO LONGER IN PAIN,GOD BLESS YOU.

I know you will be missed greatly and I offer the rest of the family all of my prayers and I will be thinking of you all. I know she will be happy to be able to see Harlan and her other loved ones who have gone before her and she will not be in any pain I guess thats what makes it just a little easier to accept.
