Dan taught me alot about loving people unconditionally while he volunteered to serve the youth at PDAP. I always looked forward to talking to him in the afternoons as we waited for the youth to arrive. His compassion to help redirect people to God was incredible. His dedication to serving people will be missed. To his family- I am sorry for your loss. He is still a great guy.

Dan was a good friend as well as an excellent contractor. I will miss his talent, sense of humor and companionship terribly. My thoughts and prayers are with the family, especially Nathan and Andrew. Dan never stopped talking about his boys and always had time for them.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

The natural order is first the mother than the son; but as always God's work will be done. You know not teh reason why but through faith and a good soul retching cry memories of laughter, hugs and love may you be comforted knowing he is watching over you from above.

We were so saddened to hear of the loss of Daniel. Although we expect to lose our parents, no parent expects to lose a child. Judy, you are such a wonderful and giving person that to have you experience this loss is especially painful for those who know and love you. I hope you remembered to pack a little piece of everyone who loves you in your heart so that you know you are not alone.

Dan was more than a friend. He was like a brother to me. Whether I needed a shoulder to cry on or a friend to keep me on track, he was there for me. I can not express my sorrow in words, but I would like to leave this for others to read. Sometimes a person comes into your life that becomes a brother/sister type person. Not always right, not always wrong, but loves you unconditionally. I love you brother.

We have know Dan for a couple of years and played shuffleboard with him on several occassions. He was one of the nicest people we ever met and talked frequently of his sons and how much he loved them. I don't ever think I saw Dan without a smile on his face or a kind word for everyone. We will miss him. Our condolences go out to his wife and his two sons. May God Bless Dan's family and give the strength they will need to get through a very difficult time. Cindy & Jesse Bernal
Judith Churchill left a message on April 6, 2009:
I loved my son and I am so sad at his passing. I have trouble finding words to express my feelings. I look back and remember a sweet, happy baby, an always smiling toddler, a boy who loved to tell jokes memorizing Bill Cosby records and the Smothers Brothers. Dan was a good brother to Robert and Susan and loved them very much. Growing up Dan loved sports and auto racing. He was a good first baseman and one year his team took State. Dan grew up to be a loving and caring man who cared deeply for his wife and loved his children so much. Dan you are now in heaven and we hope that you are smiling down on all of us and giving us your strength to get through the days ahead. Oh, we are going to miss you my boy.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I share in the saddness of Dan's passing. Although the things I know about Dan are limited, I could see that Dan belonged to a club of unique individuals. The type of person that makes the world go around with his active role in so many activities and programs. For one, the presence and energy he brought to the PBBA was extraordinary. Many will miss this gentleman. My prayers and thoughts with be with Dan and his family.
