Daniel Goldsmith, 22, of Midland, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2008. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Monday, September 1, 2008 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at the Stonegate Fellowship in Midland with Rev. Ron Miller, Jon Snell and Rev. Patrick Payton, officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland.Daniel was born November 17, 1985 to Sheryl and Brad in Midland.He attended and graduated from Midland Classical Academy. Daniel enjoyed life. He was witty and had a good sense of humor and loved the Dallas Cowboys. He was tender hearted and had a great concern for people. Through all of the adversities in his life, his sense of humor prevailed. Daniel lived the life Jesus Christ has called us to live. Today, God's promise of healing has been fulfilled. Daniel loved his family and God blessed him and his family. "I the Lord am your healer" His last words were "Mom". Daniel's life was an endless testimony for Christ to those who came in contact with him.The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Premila Singh-Johnson, Dr. P.K. Patel, and Dr. Samuel MacFerran for the special care given to Daniel.Survivors include parents, Brad and Sheryl Goldsmith of Midland; sister, Jessica Goldsmith of Lubbock; brother, Garrett Goldsmith of Midland; brother, Kevin Goldsmith of Midland; paternal grandparents, Billy Ray Goldsmith of Baird and Gladys Anne Goldsmith of Baird; maternal grandmother, Barbara Derington of Midland; uncle and aunts, Scotty and Sally Goldsmith of Baird, Mac Goldsmith of Baird, Steve and Kim Goldsmith of Baird, Katie Wilson of Phoenix AZ, Mark Goldsmith of Saudi Arabia, Floyd and Jodie Ivy of Midland, Kevin and Diane Derington of Midland and Jay Derington of Midland; and a brother in Christ, Alex Small of Texas A&M and many godly friends and teachers.
