Dani Lynne (Wright) Lindgren, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and dance teacher, passed away peacefully at her home in Midland after a courageous battle with ALS on January 5, 2026.
Dani was born on February 25, 1959, in Seminole, Oklahoma, to parents Ann and Herman Wright. After a brief time in Woodward, Oklahoma, the Wright family settled in Midland when Dani was in the ninth grade. She attended Lee High School while dancing and teaching at her mother’s studio, Dee-Ann Studio of Dance.
After attending the University of Oklahoma, Dani returned to Midland to teach alongside her mother. In 1985, she welcomed her greatest blessing, her daughter Taylor, and in 2007, Dani married the love of her life, Steven Lindgren.
Dani was known for her kindness, compassion, and generosity, freely giving of herself to everyone around her and never expecting anything in return. Her students, in particular, cherished her and often spoke of how deeply she shaped their childhoods. No child ever left her studio without feeling the love she so effortlessly gave—it was Dani’s quiet gift, her magic.
Generations of children were forever changed by their dance teacher, Ms. Dani. She often said that what people did not understand about dance teachers was that they taught so much more than dance. Dani was a shoulder to cry on, a mentor, and a guide—a steady presence for children to turn to when they did not know where else to go.
Dani deeply loved her students, but her greatest passion was her family. She loved them with a ferocity that is hard to put into words. She often spoke of her parents as her “heroes,” her husband as her “rock,” and her daughter as her “greatest achievement.” When her grandchildren arrived, her heart grew even fuller, and her role as “Tutu” brought her a joy beyond anything she could have imagined. She was the very best Tutu, endlessly devoted to and adoring her grandchildren.
Dani is survived by her loving husband, Steven Lindgren of Midland; her parents, Herman and Ann Wright of Midland; her daughter and son-in-law, Taylor and Austin Wallace of Fort Worth; her daughter-in-law, Stephanie Sirgo, and her husband, Blake Sirgo of Houston; her cherished grandchildren, Blake and West Wallace, and Parker, Isabelle, Michael, and Max Sirgo; her brother and sister-in-law, Lance and Stephanie Wright of Midland; her brother and his partner Brad Wright and Tony Arreola of Austin; her brother-in-law and his wife, Scott and Karen Lindgren of Frisco; her nieces and nephews, Landry, Kaydee, and Carson Wright; along with many great-nieces and nephews, cousins, students, and friends whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her stepson, Jason Lindgren; her mother-in-law, Rachel Lindgren; and her father-in-law, Bruce Lindgren.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Dani’s best friend, Kandi Bagwell, whose devotion went above and beyond, and to her caregivers and nurses—especially Lucy Armendariz and Angela Barela—along with Gentiva Hospice, for the loving and compassionate care provided during Dani’s final year.
Services will take place on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 2 PM at First Baptist Church in Midland. In keeping with Dani’s spirit, guests are encouraged to wear colors; black attire is not necessary. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to The Houston Methodist Hospital Foundation – ALS Fund at https://givingforms.houstonmethodist.org/GeneralGivingForm (please specify ALS Fund).
Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences may be made at www.npwelch.com.

Our sincere condolences to Dani’s family and the many who loved her. She was so good to us during a hard time for us in a new place. She adored all her little dancers. She was also always encouraging me as I juggled a toddler and a baby when we first started at her studio. I was so sad to hear about her diagnosis. She was such a light and inspiration. May she rejoice whole and perfect with Jesus. I can imagine she is having the best dance recital heaven has ever had. You are so loved. We will always remember you in our hearts Ms. Dani. May your family find peace in your absence and hold tightly to your memories.
