Cruz Granado of Midland, passed away on August 1, 2016. A Rosary will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 7:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 1:00PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.He was born on September 14, 1926 to Juan and Jesusita Granado in Adobe, Texas, Presidio County. Cruz worked for Lock Construction Pipeline for 20 years and retired from the company. He later went to the Gulf, Chevron Field Services oil tanks to work under various company such as: Blakely, Flint, and Charles Wright Oil Construction Companies. He did what it took to support his family. Long hours, inclement weather, even if it took him out of town or out of state. We are grateful for all he gave for the family. “Dad was a good, hard working man.” He loved being outside organizing his tool shed, he always knew where every tool was, and every tool had its place. He enjoyed shelling pecans for family and friends so they could make their holiday desserts. He liked to work on his yard and watched old western shows, movies and novelas.Cruz is preceded in death by his parents; spouse, Isabel Granado; sons, Nestor and Joel Granado; and sister, Panchita Dominguez.Cruz is survived by son, Ramon Granado and wife, Mary; daughter, Noemi Lopez and husband, Pedro; eight grandchildren, Norma Granado, Hector Granado, Michelle Quinones, Steven Granado, Marissa Sanchez, Joel Granado Jr., Pedro Lopez Jr., Clarissa Lopez; seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; brother, Ramon Granado; sister, Nore Madrid from Pecos, TX; nieces and nephews.Would like to thank his doctors for the excellent care they gave to dad. Also to S&R Health Care, Corina.
