Constance Marguerite (Connie) Boyd, passed away December 20, 2020. Connie was born on October 25, 1946 in Lamesa, Texas to Norman Lee and Ola Juanita (Merritt) Fuson and was one of eight children. In 1981, she met the love of her life Gerald E. Boyd in Gail, Texas, to whom she was married to for 34 years until his death in 2015.
Connie loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to sew and crochet. She was known for her green thumb as she could grow anything. She loved flowers, especially roses. She also loved to go fishing, especially with her family.
Connie had a huge heart. She never let anyone go hungry and was always willing to help those in need. She would give her last dollar to help someone else.
She is survived by her daughter Tina Essary and husband Glen of La Vernia, TX; daughter Teresa Combs and Brant Williams of Lubbock, TX; son Carl Glen Bacon and wife Kambra of Prosper, TX; and son Bryan Bacon and wife Heidi of San Angelo, TX. She is also survived by her sisters Pat Veld of Midland, TX; Beverly Massingill of Crane, TX; Starr Miller of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Lori Shaffer of Goldsmith, TX; and brother David Fuson of Houston, TX., 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Gerald Boyd, parents Norman and Juanita Fuson, and two brothers Norman Earl Fuson and James Daniel Fuson.
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Sunday, December 27th from 5 to 7 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home, 906 S. Gregg St., Big Spring, TX. Memorial Service to be held Monday, December 28, 2020 at 10 am at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel, with burial to follow in Gail Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Heath Gwinn, Dusty Gwinn, Derek Gwinn, David Aaron Childers, Klayson Bacon and Ty Williams.
