Conrad Quiroz Jr., 81, of Midland, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory. The visitation will be held through 9:00 p.m., Sunday, with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
Conrad was born on January 18, 1945, in Marfa, Texas, to Conrad Sr. and Ramona Quiroz. Conrad was employed by Oncor (TXU) Electric Company for 40 years. He worked in various departments. His last position was Electric Delivery Service Manager. He retired in January 2011. During his career he served on numerous community boards including Midland Chamber of Commerce, Loan Officer for Midland United Way, Midland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as officer and Board of Director, MHCC Ambassador, Midland Salvation Army Board of Director, and American Diabetes Association Board of Director. He coordinated work groups for the Christmas in Action project and Keep Odessa Beautiful. He enjoyed being a leader in the community.
Conrad is survived by his wife, Adela Quiroz of 49 years; his two daughters, Suzanne Quiroz and husband Valdez, and Michelle Acosta; and his four sons, Santos Quiroz and wife Phyllis, Steve Quiroz, Sam Quiroz, and Matthew Quiroz and wife Rosie. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a sister, Laura Hernandez, and a brother, Leo Quiroz, and wife Sylvia. Conrad was preceded in death by his parents, Conrad Sr. and Ramona Quiroz, and his brother, Richard Quiroz.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards Midland Medical Lodge and Dr. Juan Gil. Conrad will be deeply missed by his family and friends as he was an honorable and respectful person.
