He married his love at first sight, Crystal Brooke Sharp on October 15, 2016. Cody fell in love with his wife instantly after one small precious baby Bruno (dog) introduced them in a Stripe’s parking lot. As a young boy he loved football, fixing anything he could get his hands on, and had dreams of being a fireman. He grew up learning all about the oilfield from his dad and learned all he knew from him as he got his start in the business. Cody never met a stranger and was the life of every party. You always knew when he was around by listening for his “WOOO”! He always was singing with a smile on his face. He loved country music and anything country. He was a true cowboy at heart. He loved unconditionally and had a strong faith in his creator Jesus Christ. He had a love for anything camo, hunting, fishing, animals of all kinds, woodwork, and the outdoors. His happy place was always at home with family and spending time at the lake.He is survived by his wife Crystal Engle; parents, Toby & Tammy Engle; sisters, Cassidy Hale, Toni Engle, Tawny Hancock; and brothers, Toby Allen and Bobby Gordon. He was also loved by numerous nieces and nephews and his four-legged fur-babies.He is preceded in death by one unborn child and grandparents.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
