Cleo Carlile

C L (Cleo) Carlile, 75, of Big Spring and Hawaii, went to his eternal home on Sunday, November 18, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 1, 2012, in the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dr. Greg Hall, President of Warner University, Lake Wales, Florida, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, November 30, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.Cleo was born, September 21, 1937, in Hardesty, Oklahoma to Clifford Cleo Carlile and Eula Mae Webb Carlile. He grew up primarily in Oklahoma where his father was a minister. He attended school in Texhoma, Oklahoma, but graduated from Beaver, Oklahoma High School where his father was the minister of the First Church of God. He attended Gulf Coast Bible College in Houston, Texas for two years and graduated from Bethany College in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. He later attended the University of Houston in Houston, Texas receiving a Masters Degree in Psychology. He started his teaching career in Knott, Texas. After a year, he moved to Big Spring and taught Science at Runnels Junior High. Later he became a principal and served Airport, Kentwood, and Washington schools at different times. He loved teaching and enjoyed being an administrator, but decided to follow his dreams of having his own business. His first business adventure was owning a used car lot in Houston, Texas with his best friend Max McAdams. He later bought the Radio Shack franchise; which evolved into an electronics business and later Starcom, which was a satellite television business. Also during this time he had a background music business called Mutex Sound and distributed TV Facts, which was a television guide with paid advertising.He was blessed by three beautiful wives during his life. His first wife, Doris, mother of Beverly and Joey, passed during childbirth. His second wife, Thelma, mother of Cyndee and Deanna, passed in 2011 after 41 years of marriage; and lastly, Susan Fletcher Carlile.He is survived by his sweetie-pie, Susan Fletcher Carlile of Hawaii, sister, Linda Lindell of Big Spring; four adoring children, daughter, Cyndee Eastin and husband, Darell of Ft. Worth, daughter, Beverly Paul and husband, Ervin of Hilo, Hawaii, daughter, Deanna Gross and husband, David of Keller, and son, Joey Carlile of Big Spring; eight grandchildren, Daniel Beauchamp, Dustyn Beauchamp, Kimberley Eastin, Rebekah Hill, Stephen Eastin, Jonathan Gross, Jared Gross, and Lauren ONeill; four precious great granddaughters, Lily Beauchamp, Paige Hill, Alexa and Payton ONeill; and nine treasured nieces and nephews and their families.He was preceded in death by his parents; Clifford and Eula Carlile and infant daughter, Carmen Lynette Carlile.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
