PFC Clayton W. Henson, 20, of Midland and Stanton, died on Saturday, April 17, 2004, in Iraq. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 26, 2004, at the First Baptist Church of Midland with Rev. David Harp, pastor of First Baptist Church of Stanton, officiating and Van Pendergrass, minister of Downtown Church of Christ of Stanton, assisting. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton.He was born on August 25, 1983, in Big Spring.Clayton was killed in action while serving in Southern Iraq with the 2nd Armored Calvary Regiment. Clayton has been posthumously awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for his bravery and dedication to his country. His sacrifice brings great credit upon himself, his family and the United States Army.Survivors include his parents, Rosalind and James Lewis of Midland and Randy and Leta Henson of Stanton; two sisters, Melissa Henson Leiker and husband, Gabe, and son, Ethan, of Lubbock and Sharon Henson and fianc?, Jake Reid, of Stanton; three brothers, Lex Lewis of Midland, Kason Anderson and son, Justin, of Big Spring and Brandon Anderson of Phoenix, Arizona; his grandparents, Eldon and Georgia Welch of Tarzan, Jimmy and Janet Henson, Virginia and Chuck James and Kathleen Lewis all of Stanton and Jack and Dorothy Stovall of Big Spring; his great grandmothers, Jessie Glaze of Tarzan, Amelia Ory of Stanton and Millie St. John of Las Cruces, New Mexico; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and a multitude of friends.,
