Clayton Merle Coffman, 57, of Big Spring, died on Saturday, June 14, 2008, in Martin County. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Elwin Collom, pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church, officiating.The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.He was born on February 26, 1951, in Big Spring, Texas and married Joyce Robertson on October 20, 1989 in Big Spring, Texas.He had worked as a driller in the oil field and then in conctruction. He enjoyed taking trips on his motorcycle, playing the guitar, going fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Coahoma and had served in the United States Navy.Survivors include his wife, Joyce Coffman of Big Spring; two sons, Christopher Clayton Coffman and wife, Courtney of Abilene and Dalton Shane Coffman of Big Spring; two daughters, Tammy Kay Lockhart and Dana Rachelle Lockhart both of Big Spring; his mother, Juanita Coffman of Big Spring; four brothers, Jacky Don Coffman, Michael Dalton Coffman and Leslie Wade Coffman all of Big Spring and James Henry Coffman of Hurst; two sisters, Rebecca Marie Norris of Alvin and Regina Colleen Swafford of Big Spring; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Dalton Coffman; two brothers, his twin, Clifton Earl Coffman and Wesley Carl Coffman.
