Clay Freeman, 23, of Midland, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2006 in Odessa. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.Clay was born on June 14, 1983 to C.W. and Diane Freeman in Pampa, Texas. He grew up and attended school in Eunice, New Mexico. He attended his junior and senior years of high school in Crane. Clay then moved to Odessa to attend Odessa College and play golf for the college. He went to work for Craig Campbell as his caddy and personal assistant for three years. He was currently employed with Patterson Drilling.Clay loved his family and was the best Uncle Buddy? anyone could have asked for. He loved his lady bug and care bear?, T-Man?, Jacob and Spencer. One of his favorite pastimes was holding the familys newest baby, Britton. His other favorite pastimes were golfing, fishing and motorcycle riding. Clay was a hardworking, loyal, happy and genuine person. He was a member of the Crane First Baptist Church.Survivors include his parents, C.W. and Diane Freeman of Midland; one brother, Cody and his wife, Becky Freeman of Denver City; one sister, Holly Oldham and her husband, Brandon of Crane; four nephews, Trenton, Jacob and Spencer Freeman and Britton Oldham; two nieces, Jayden Freeman and Karlie Oldham; his fiance, Melanee Jones always and forever?; and a step brother, Shawn James.The pallbearers will be Marcus Lopez, Weldon Kiker, Logan Richter, Patrick Rodysill, Chris Meyers and Courtney Free. The honorary pallbearers will be the Odessa College Golf Team and Clays Ridin Buddies.The family will be at 4801 Whitman Dr. for those that would like to come by.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
