Claudene Hackleman Kilgore, 92, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Madison Medical Resort in Odessa, TX. A gathering of family and friends will be 2:00pm until 4:00pm Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland. Graveside service will be 10:00am Monday, August 6, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.Claudene was born March 16, 1926 in Lamesa, Texas to John E. Hackleman and Pearl Green Hackleman. She graduated as salutatorian from O’Donnell High School. She worked as CPS Secretary for Texaco for twelve years. Claudene was a life time member of the Midland Dog Club. She trained dogs and would take them to nursing homes and also the Child Advocacy Center. Claudene was a kind, loving, generous person.Claudene is survived by her daughter Delene Young of Odessa; grandchildren Alan Kilgore and wife Staci, Brent Kilgore, Jason Kilgore and wife Deena, Chad Kilgore and wife Shanna, Susan Young Johnson and husband, Michael; David Young and wife Sheri and Diane Young; 21 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Sheela Kilgore Beckham. She was preceded in death by her son Richard B Kilgore, Jr; granddaughter Lori Kilgore Hankins; great granddaughter Amanda Hankins.The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Madison Medical Resort especially Alisha Floyd and Kay, and to the Odessa Regional Medical Center Dr. Anjahia Kodi and ER Nurse Shelley Duke.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Midland Rape Crisis & Children’s Advocacy Center, as well as the Helping Hands of Midland.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland.
