Clarke Melton Jones

Clarke M. Jones, 65 of Midland, died on Monday, September 1, 2003, in a local hospital. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, September 4, 2003 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland with Dr. Tommy Potter, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating, assisted by Rev. Gary Groves and Rev. Pamala Vannoy. He was born on June 13, 1938, in Colorado City, Texas to Willis Andrew Jones and Mary Louise Melton.He grew up in Colorado City and worked in Odessa for 33 years at Ameri Pol Synpol Corp. Mr. Jones was a member of Acacia Masonic Lodge, First Christian Church, and he served in the United States Army in Korea. He loved fly fishing, camping, and hunting. Clarke most enjoyed having his grandchildren around. Survivors include his son; Andrew Clarke Jones of Midland, daughter; Jennifer Gail Jones of San Antonio, daughter; Teresa Jones, sister & brother-in-law; Mary Louise & Lynn Rich of Sterling City, Texas, and four grandchildren, four nieces, and two nephews. He is further survived by his former wife; Jean Jones of Midland.In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to American Cancer Society, 2304 W.
