Clara Mae Westbrook, 81, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Ron Westbrook, officiating and Rev. Dwayne Wheat, pastor of Berea Baptist Church, assisting.The family will receive friends from 7 PM to 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.She was born on December 3, 1927, in Madill, Oklahoma and married Bill Westbrook on September 4, 1945 in Idabell, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on December 16, 1999.Clara Mae grew up in Madill, Oklahoma and moved to Big Spring in 1956 from Abilene. She and her late husband owned and operated several cafes. She also worked for Dub Bryant Auction Company and Robert Pruitt Auctions before retiring. She loved to fish with her friends and family. Clara Mae was a lifetime member of the Church of the Nazarene and worked in the Children's Church.Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Jannette Westbrook of Big Spring, Danny Westbrook of Madill, Oklahoma and Steven and Judy Westbrook of Big Spring; one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and David Burcham of Big Spring; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Katherine and Eddie McKinney of Durant, Oklahoma and Peggy and John Ruching of Lebanon, Oklahoma; and one brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Dot Richardson of Madill, Oklahoma. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Linn and Dollie Richardson; one granddaughter, Brandi Rodriguez; one grandson, Patrick Westbrook; one sister, Lucy Rodgers and two brothers, Linn Richardson, Jr. and Ruel Richardson.
